In Judy Christie’s Gone to Green, the first in her new Green series, Lois Baker trades her life as a journalist at a large newspaper for ownership of The Green News-Item, a tiny, twice-weekly newspaper in rural Louisiana.
As the not-so-proud new owner, Lois must keep the paper, an inheritance from a colleague, for at least a year. When Lois pulls into Green on New Year’s Day, her expectation of a charming little town full of friendly people is shattered. Instead, she finds herself battling prejudice and financial corruption—and encountering a host of fascinating characters who will change her life.
As challenges unfold, Lois’ year in Green results in a newfound faith and a God-given plan for her life gently unfolding.
